With Tenth-Generation Rendered Video
Using Canopus Raptor And Adobe Premiere...
David RuetherFor this comparison I imported video into Adobe Premiere that had been captured using an early version
of the Canopus Raptor software. To force re-rendering with each generation, I added alternately a +1
or -1 brightness filter to the video clip and rendered, exported, and imported the clip for ten generations.
I then took frame-grabs from the same frame in clips numbered 00 and 10. As you can see from the
frame-grabs, the differences between the original video and the tenth generation of renderings are slight,
but they are there. Note that this is not the same as ten generations of copying, where I would expect no
changes except those from dropouts when using tape - here, the image has been re-rendered at every
