Premiere 6 Bug - and a Cure...

Unfortunately, a type of transition/wipe that I often use with Mini-DV, one with a 
thin colored edge, causes the clips that are within the transition to lose resolution 
in Premiere 6. This does not happen in Premiere 5.

Below is a test set-up, shown in a partial image of the P-6 timeline:

Fortunately, the cure is simple. In the Premiere set-up dialogue boxes, select "square 
pixels" instead of .9 rectangular pixels. The down sides: the preview window will 
be in 720x480 proportion (NTSC) instead of 640x480 (4:3) proportion - and iris
transition round and square shapes will be squeezed sideways in the exported video,
as they are in Premiere 5...
